The Gala

In the weekend I went to the school Gala my mum gave me $10 to spend the first thing I bought was a bag of chips I accidentally got tomato sauce all over the sides of the packet so it was really annoying when I went to grab a chip and got tomato sauce all over me. The second thing I got was candy floss (YUM) Then I got two mystery jars in the first one I had feathers and the second time I got lollies (YUM)

Nappy year?

In the holidays I went to Napier. We had yet to tell Cameron (he's my brother) where we were going  so he was guessing a lot we told him to look at the signs (he's not the best reader)his first guess was "Napyeah? Then Naper? Then nappur? And then finally nappy year?? Okay I give up were is it" "Napier" "I said that" "no you did not" "did" "not" "did" "not" "did" "not" "did" "not" "did" "not" "did" "not" "did" "not" "were almost there" "yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"...

This term we are making concrete to go to mind lab in Wellington some other groups are making things like kitty computers, bunting and lots more. =D

My favourite thing that I did this term was the cross country, because I came 6th and I almost got into the interschool cross country and that's really hard to get into.

Anzac Day graphic design

In GRI11 we learn in heaps of ways for EG: sit in appropriate spots, we have a limited time to complete all our tasks In fast track, we have lots of friends to choose to work with. We have lots of options like we're to work and who to work with I also like to, know myself as a learner. on the matrix I am a CO-DRIVER. On the matrix there is three stages 1. Passenger 2. Co-driver  and driver.

                                                        *MUD RUN*        

I was chosen to enter the mud run with my best friend James M we jumped over the fence we walked down the steep hill. we jumped into the mud yuck! we slowly reached the more stable ground we ran to the watery mud. we sat down and slid in I could touch the bottom it felt like goo. it was up to my knees. I waded across the muddy water I got out and into the next and ran a little bit further and BANG another obstacle it looked like the other one so I jumped in YUCK it was up to my hip and the mud at the bottom so yuck I swum to the other side and got out. then I ran to the next heap of mud YUCK!! I jumped in at least there was a rope that  you can hold on to. This mud was up to my shoulders I saw the person in front of me get covered in mud it my turn next SPLAT  YUCK!!!!   At least I hadn't got any in my eyes (or mouth!)

I wadded to the next block of hard ground and pulled myself up the rope and could feel hard land yay! So I jumped in to the next heap of mud but this mud was not watery mud it was well disgusting!!!!! It was like a hole

heap of slimy mud. it looked like a heap chocolate but it did not taste like it I'm warning you!!!! We slowly struggled down the path of mud.

on my second time I reached the last bit of watery mud but mr r asked if I been around twice I said yes so had to jumped in YUCK

Year six girls, year six girls shouted miss Langley. My brains was going to burst. ten more minutes I thought to myself  TEN MINUTES LATER! Year six boys, year six boys shouted miss Langley it sounded like a blur of sound my nervous energy was covering up the sound. I nervously jogged over to the starting line we did some warm ups then BANG mr bell shot the starting gun I ran and ran I jumped over first muddy puddle I saw my friend in front of me but soon I passed him I was coming 15 in the next two minute I was coming 1st but not for long in the next 3 minutes I was coming about 7th. The cold air was stinging at my face but I could smell victory I could smell SAUSAGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should keep grill because it is a AWESOME and we have so much fun and do so much learning. This is one of my favourite classes EVER!! And my favourite teachers. Please let us keep grill!!!!!!!!!!!!   Keep grill clap clap clap keep grill clap clap clap!

I know when you see us talking under desks, lions den a in the passage you see chaos but actually we are working. It makes me want to come to school everyday and I have so many friends at school.

Kapiti Island trip

On Friday the conservation club went to kapiti Island. is was really really cool. we had a very fun time in our car group we had cam me, mum, sameer ,Ava and Lara. Learnt so much about birds and the history of kapiti. Here are some of the birds on kapiti Island weka, kakapo, bellbirds, tui and stitchbirds. It is a once in a live time experience by Jack #😉

Traditional Teaching Style (TTS)

As I arrived at classroom of 10/11 I thought what happened to the block classroom the teachers had done it all for us.  Their clothes were so old I didn't recognize them . The desks were lined up in straight lines like some pictures I had seen from olden days and there was names on them. The first torturous thing we did was the roll and notices the next thing was not too bad we sung the national anthem. WHAT NEXT???

Dictionary skills was the next bad thing of the lot! Then handwriting it wasn't too bad then the worst thing (apart from morning tea) was SHAKESPEARE then we did maths. The WoRsT thing of my schooling experience MORNING TEA (Dun Dun Dun).

We had to marching then we got put into play groups I had James M (yay). After morning tea we did a PMI (plus minus interesting. I only wrote in minus!) The rest of the day was normal (YAY!!)
